More TWILIGHT News: "Twilight" director won't shoot sequel

"Twilight" director won't shoot sequel Hardwicke, gestures at the premiere of the movie 'Twilight' at the Mann …LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) – "Twilight" director Catherine Hardwicke won't shoot the second picture in the fledgling vampire franchise. Hardwicke had until recently been thought a candidate to direct the sequel, titled "New Moon," but word began to circulate in the industry that her relationship with series producer Summit Entertainment has not always been smooth. On Sunday, Summit confirmed that Hardwicke would not direct the film, saying in a statement that its plans to release the film in late 2009 or early 2010 did not mesh with Hardwicke's required prep time. The picture, whose start date has not yet been set, will nontheless reunite writer Melissa Rosenberg and actors Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Summit has not named a new director, but it is likely to want to move relatively quickly on the sequel after the original earned nearly $139 million in three weeks of release. Hardwicke had initially been considered a bold choice for "Twilight." She made her name with indie breakout "Thirteen" and also directed the period religious tale "The Nativity Story." The combination proved winning, though, as the midrange-budgeted "Twilight" became one of the fall's biggest hits."New Moon" is the second installment in Stephenie Meyer's four-book series and also centers on vampires in a small town in Washington state, this time with a more prominent role given to a teenage werewolf. After all the HYPE and Watching the Premiere of Twilight, hearing about getting a new Director sounds like great news! I thought the book and the Twilight series was a very interesting read but when I saw Twilight in the theaters I was truly disappointed. Like I said in my last post, I just wish they it could have flowed better and kept a good part of the story line. Instead it was rushed and choppy.

I think a new director will take a critical look of the movie and do a better job. At least that is what I am hoping. I am not expecting it to be the same, just better. I am going to watch the sequel. I also kind of figured they would get a new director because of the reviews that it got from its critics. I also new that they would rush production to keep the Twilight franchise going...this is not a story you can just sit on. Especially with its huge fan base.

I am looking forward to the sequel and I have not finished reading Breaking Dawn yet, more or less sad its the last book of the series I will be reading :(

As she starts her junior year in high school she becomes fascinated by Edward Cullen who holds a dark secret which is only known by his family. Edward falls in love with Bella as well but knows the further they progress in their relationship the more he is putting Bella and those close to her at risk. Edward warns Bella that she should leave him but she refuses to listen and to understand why he is saying this. Bella learns his secret. He is a vampire, however she is not afraid of his blood-thirsty needs and the fact he could kill her at any moment. Bella is afraid of losing him, the love of her life. The thrill begins when a new vampire finds it a challenge to hunt Bella down for her irresistible blood. The game is on and James will not stop until she is killed. Written by courtney.

After Reading Twilight. I am just so excited to watching the Premiere of the Movie! I have never watched a movie based on a book, so like I said in my last post, this will be new for me.

The movie is getting a lot of HYPE nowadays...there are raging fans all over the internet, with their chosen Teams (Team Edward or Team Jacob). I am Team Switzerland (LOL!). This last weekend, the excitement has really caught on for myself as well! I went to Hot Topic and bought myself a t-shirt to wear on the premiere on the Friday, November 21st 2008. I bought the third book (Eclipse). I have also been reading a lot of the spoilers of the series. (I cannot help it, I am not good with surprises). I also are telling a lot of people need to read the books and watch the movie. I haven't been this excited about something since The 4400! :). I figured I needed to throw myself into something again that I can enjoy.

I also decided to separate the book from the movie so I will not be disappointed. I will be taking a lot of pictures of the premiere and post them here! This will be fun! I am glad my Partner seems as excited as I am, about the books and movie.

I really hope Stephenie Meyer continues with the book series. From the Spoilers I read, I don't think its the end...a Story is never ending though :)

Anyway stay tuned... ;)

Reading Third Installment in Twilight Series - Eclipse

After seeing what all the hoopla was about with the Twilight by Stephenie Meyer, I am now hooked! I am now on Book 3 of the 4 Twilight Series.

I also bought my tickets and t-shirt for the Premiere of the Movie "Twilight". I AM REALLY EXCITED! I will be posting pictures and I will be doing a movie review once I have viewed it. You can guarantee it. :) I am going to separate myself though from the movie and book so that I can enjoy it and not do any comparing to the book. I have never read a book first before seeing a movie, so this will be an interesting experiment/experience for me.

I have been paying more attention to vampires and the different teams are involved in this book also. I am not into the Teams, like Team Edward or Team Jacob but if I were I guess I would have to go with Team Edward. I also did something research on actual "Vampires" and it just ended up being more or less of a joke.

Here is a picture of me in my robe and with my cup of coffee reading the new Eclipse. I am going to try to take my time reading since I don't have very many books left. The movie comes out in 4 DAYS!

Are you excited about seeing the movie?

Book Review: Twilight by Stephenie Meyer

Amazon.com Review
"The book that started the phenomenon is now available in a deluxe collector's edition! Featuring a ribbon bookmark, cloth cover, ragged edges, new chapter opener designs, and a beautiful protective slipcase, this edition is perfect for fans and collectors alike.Bella Swan's move to Forks, a small, perpetually rainy town in Washington, could have been the most boring move she ever made. But once she meets the mysterious and alluring Edward Cullen, Bella's life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn. Up until now, Edward has managed to keep his vampire identity a secret in the small community he lives in, but now nobody is safe, especially Bella, the person Edward holds most dear.Deeply romantic and extraordinarily suspenseful, Twilight captures the struggle between defying our instincts and satisfying our desires. This is a love story with bite.

Ok I first heard about this book at work, I kept seeing it on a few womens' desk I would pass on my way to lunch and wonder WTF? For weeks I had seen it and not really took the initiative to see what the book is about. Well, my one of my online groups kept mentioning the book as well and I finally asked someone at work what the book is about and they told me that is a love story between a vampire and mortal. Now I am not into vampires very much but I was really intrigued by the popularity and decided to purchase it. Well it two days I am now up to Chapter 11. The book was also so popular they decided to do a movie (of course) and I will be watching that as well when I finish the book.

There are also 3 or 4 other books in the series. I will be reading those as well. :)

My opinion of the book so far is, it is different than anything I have ever read. The main characters are not your typical characters. I still think I need to read more of the series in order to form a solid opinion. But I will keep you Updated :)
