Movie Review - I AM LEGEND
Last night we had rented "I am Legend". Robert Neville, starring Will Smith plays Robert Neville, somewhat of a Scientist/Doctor who survives an airborne breakout of a virus and is the last man surviving on earth surrounded by infected vampire-like people who only come out at night and try to kill him. During his time alone he is in search of a cure to save the planet. Alone with his dog, he hunts for game to feed off of. He spends a lot time talking with his dog and mannequins.
I thought the movie was interesting and suspenseful. It reminded me of Resident Evil and other zombie-like movies. I think it was a good movie but I think Will Smith has played better roles. It also wasn't that long of a movie but I would definitely watch it again.
I GOT ANOTHER TATTOO!
Food Review - Apollo Burger
So, being new to the chain, I thought I would get their signature hamburger "Jr. Apollo Burger". Their hamburger had on it Pastrami, Cheese, Fry Sauce and Lettuce - AGAIN HOLD THE LETTUCE! It was also shredded lettuce, please no lettuce. Other than that the sandwich was delicious. I had experienced something similar at Dairy Keen, which had their "Train Burger" packed with all kinds of stuff.
But overall I thought they had a different flavor and it was good. :)
Food Review - Chilis Smokehouse Bacon Burger
I had an Opportunity to try the new Chilis Smokehouse Bacon Burger for Free, because I am a BzzAgent and I buzz on new Products, Services and Foods to get the word out and see the opinions of others on those items. As a food lover, I jumped on it! Chilis right now has three new style Smokehouse Bacon Burgers - Jalapeno, Southern and Three Cheese. I love spicy anything, so I tried the Jalapeno.
It was DELICIOUS! The only thing I request is that they HOLD THE LETTUCE! I am not a huge fan of lettuce ESPECIALLY Shredded Lettuce. The sandwich had "Extra thick-cut applewood smoked bacon topped with smoked cheddar cheese, crunchy tortilla strips, jalapeƱos, mayo, shredded lettuce, tomato and onion. Served with jalapeƱo-ranch dressing on the side.". I had removed most of the lettuce but I just could not finish the thing, it was so big. But it had a BIG taste to it. I am all about flavor. :D
Then for dessert we split the Chocolate Molten Cake. I love it. It is basically three layer chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. I try to get it often when we go to Chilis. It is warm and gooey and the ice cream is cold and creamy. Makes a perfect combination. :D
5 STARS!

Food Review - Cafe Rio Mexican Grill
On a Saturday of course, it was really crowded. The first thing I noticed while we were being pushed ahead in a 'cafeteria style' ordering line was that they had made their own flour tortillas. BTW, I did not like the ordering aspect at all, I felt rushed and unsure of what I was purchasing. I had ordered a grilled steak and chicken taco with pinto beans and rice. Also, every couple of minutes the staff cooking behind the glass would yell something out loud and I am still trying to figure out what that is. I also noticed the place had a lot of awards from various places hanging on their wall.
We finally got our food and was out.
When we got home and sat down to eat, I noticed that they had put a TON of lettuce on my tacos. Eh, I removed a lot of it but I am not a huge fan of lettuce - especially shredded lettuce.
I notice with a lot of these taco places that all the food has no flavor and all tastes the same. That is how it was for me. I did like the pinto beans though, they had a good flavor to them. My partner had got the cheesy enchiladas and they tasted the same to me.
Similar to my first review, Mexican food trying to escape being authentic.
